"her" Master Closet Makeover

Hello! :)  I am excited to share this pos with you!!  We expanded our master closet and I wanted to share my closet with you.  (I will show you my husband's later.)

This is how it looks before all the clothes.  We knocked out the back wall and bumped in out 6 feet! I am in LOVE!!!

This is what it looks like.

We had it done professionally and I picked out the design myself.

I wanted a lot of hanging room.

I also really wanted LOTS of drawers!!!

I really wanted the shelves too!

I needed something for my shoes too!

This is is so far!

I can't wait to show you the end results!!

How do you organize your closet?

Bonnie :)

Homemade French Toast

One of our favorite family traditions is to make and eat a big, homemade breakfast as a family on the weekends! :)

My husband actually loves to cook with us.  We crank up the music, sing, drink tea or coffee and during the summer, we eat outside.

It is one of my favorite times of the week!  On Saturdays, we don't need to be anywhere until Michael's baseball at 11:45 so that gives us plenty of time and we go to 9:45 Mass on Sundays, so we can squeeze in a breakfast before hand.

We love to make homemade french toast!

We use my old Better Homes and Gardens cookbook and then we alter it a little bit! ;)

These are the ingredients that we use.

The kids like to help as much as possible.

We love using cast iron pans.

We use a pizza cutter to save time.

Happy kids!

Yummy!

Do you have an weekend traditions?

Do you cook together?

What do you like to make?

Have a great day!

Theme Design: Neon decor ideas for home!

Bright gorgeous colors have a way of adding cheer and spirit into our everyday life. Neon colors have been so much in fashion lately. This color trend is quite in sync with summer and spring! Home accent and upholstery in neon is a good experiment and the pop of color is absolutely fun. Love it! hope you are as inspired :o)

An easy makeover for old furniture with surface damages. Paint them a bright color and it will get the deserved attention. Mid century design was never looked funkier!

Modern color palette of Gray with pops of neon. Using bright colors for accent on a neutral base makes for interesting points of attention. Buy Ikea furniture and consider customizing them. Good value :)

The cuteness of these stools aside love the delicate setup! Neon is so eye catching that even hints of it can transform any corner. You don't have to go big to bring some neon into your lives.

So colorful! Bright and comfortable, this is the perfect relaxing nook. It looks fabulous against the stark white backdrop and instantly warms up the place. Must for those white winters for me :)

Neon colors don't always have to be in the face. Sometimes a piped down version is really attractive. Coral and soothing brown bedding is super stylish. It adds an edgy flair to the bedroom decor.

Hopelessly smitten by mid-century modern. Intense use of turquoise, and yet its coral red that makes all the difference. Gorgeous Pyrex and Catherine Holm enamelware must be feeling right at home!

Accent wall with eye popping colors! Wonderful combination of blue and apple green, so unusual and very striking. If you have it in you, go for a transformation, reupholster and rejuvenate.

Modern contemporary kitchen design with hints of neon yellow. An alternative for those looking for a urban chic inspiration. Gray and yellow combination has featured here before.

Splash of so many colors! This living room is so gorgeous, it radiates cheer. Perfect for those who don't shy away from colors and love to experiment. This surely is fabulous!

As always, try experimenting with small decorative stuff before committing money and time on a larger project. Neon is a still quite in trend. Do consider!

Even a touch of neon can transform ordinary colors. The piping is minimal and yet adds to the cool factor! A good craft idea, perfect for teen room.

Banana Nutella "Ice Cream"

Hello! How are you today?  It's friday night,  are you doing anything fun?  If you are at home, you should go put some bananas in the freezer right now and try this recipe out.  I need to go to the store tomorrow and I am getting bananas to try this.  The kids will go nuts over it!!  (So will Mama!)

Today, Krysta, from Steen Health Solutions, is here to share this yummy and healthy treat with you!  She is an amazing Wife, Mother, person and friend!  We met online and and became friends and business partners.  Krysta even stayed at our house four several days this spring when we went to training.  She is super nice and very smart.

Welcome Krysta!

Have you seen the one ingredient banana ice cream on Pinterest and around the web?  I finally tried it and it was super yummy and EASY!

Banana Nutella

My whole family thought it was great, and it is waaaaaaay better for you than real ice cream!

Here are the steps:

1) Slice bananas into 1/2-1 inch slices and freeze.  I froze mine overnight because my kids were sleeping and I didn’t want to use the food processer, but freezing them 1-2 hours is perfectly fine too!

2) Put the frozen bananas into the food processer and go to town!  You’ll need to scrape down the sides a few times.  At first it will seem like it is just turning into bits of banana, but pretty soon something magic happens and it turns into a smooth creamy concoction!

3) Put in any add-ins!  I added a spoonful of Nutella, but you could do cocoa powder, peanut butter, etc.  The Nutella was a great addition!

That’s it!

It will be a soft serve consistency after you blend it, so you can either eat it right away or freeze it for a while to make it firmer.

Have you tried this?

What else have you mixed in?

I am so excited to try this!  I never heard of it before.  Thanks so much Krysta!!  Please follow her on Facebook for more recipes!

Have a great weekend!

Bonnie :)

Homemade Popsicles {Performance Pops}

Wow!  It has been HOT around here!!  I like warm temps but this is not for me and the baby! The kids have been able to enjoy the heat a little but I worry about them overheating.

So, I found a neat way to keep the kids hydrated and keep having fun at the same time!

We make "Performance Pops"!!

Basically, we make our own popsicles using a natural sports drink.

They kids go nuts for this stuff and I don't have to worry about the sugar in popsicles and this stuff keeps them hydrated better than water alone.

(The Olympic Athletes even use this!)

We just start with empty popsicle containers and a container of Performance.  (We have orange flavor today but we like Lemon Lime too!)

Then we make add the Performance powder to water.

(I added extra powder here because it tastes so good!)

Then, I add the drink to the container and put them in the freezer!

It's so easy and the kids love helping me make them.

They keep checking to see if they are ready yet, lol!

Then they get to enjoy and natural, hydrating popsicle that they made them self!!

It's a WIN-WIN!!  Everyone is happy!!

The kids love the taste and I love that it keeps them hydrated with all the bad stuff! :)

What ways are you staying hydrated this summer?

Enjoy the heat!

Have a great day!
